Combining the love for 3D and grounding 2D passion, the AKIRA poster was designed to be as complex as the original creator, screenwriter and director, Katsuhiro Otomo.

Incorporating a custom 3D shader to capture the 1983 graphic novels in style and substance as well as superimposing technical lineart illustration over the final piece to produce a visual bombardment of storytelling, graphical discharge and a love letter to a master of manga.

To mark the up and coming release of the celebrated Studio Ghibli's first cgi animated film, we reimagined some of the companies classic tales.

We wanted to pay tribute by recreating some of the most iconic scenes from various films, My Neighbor Totoro being one of the most memorable and talked about. Primarily because the original artwork featured a mystery girl and not the two main protagonists.

There's no doubt that Naughty Dog's latest instalment to the revered The Last of Us had brought some controversy upon release of the second instalment.

The surrounding hype was staggering and we thought we'd illustrate a poster to mark the occasion, creating an atmospheric blend with the main characters.

We then looked at a short animated response to our final piece.

Everyone loves noodles and by far, Japan's Nissin Noodles are the most iconic. Be it from their use of product placement, collaborating with the long established Final Fantasy series, to some of Japan's high end animation studios.

"Noodles of the Deep" is a touch on how care-free the company can be.
